Dante’s Inferno Dust Jacket design
I was challenged to design a dust jacket for Dante’s Inferno, reinterpreting its dark narrative through the bold colors, geometric forms, and playful visual language of Memphis design.
We began by examining the Divina Commedia. What was it? What was the message? What elements stand out in the story?
We then listened to Deepa Mary Parapatt, an Editorial Designer, as she went over the fundamentals of editorial design.
I began to build out my design. Splitting the cover up into 5 parts: the main cover, the spine, the back cover, and the book flaps.
The final product.
