A retro style painting of vintage race cars and their fight to the finish.
My initial reference photo.
I began with an orange wash to give the painting warm undertones.
After building out the car I added value to give the painting dimension and a sense of movement
I decided that I wanted a more monochromatic look, so I went over the painting in a light pink glaze.
The final product.
The final product was actually selected to be showcased in the retail store "August" on State Street for November.
